A couple of months ago, we were contacted by an architect from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc)/California Institute of Technology (Caltech). His team is working with the U.S. Department of Energy on DALE (Dynamic Augmented Living Environment), a net-zero solar powered house comprised of two prefab modules that run on a rail system, making it a home that is as active as the people who reside in it.
As it turned out, the team inquired about a donation of a Havis Flip Step for the project, which we were more than happy to participate in.
Below are a couple of links that provide additional information on the project:
- Meet DALE website
- Meet DALE Facebook page
We’re looking forward to hearing more from the SCI-Arc/Caltech team, and we’ll keep you posted!
