Last week, we were excited to announce that the Havis Docking Station for the Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme Notebooks is now available for pre-order. This adjustable docking station is compatible with both the Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme convertible notebook and the Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme notebook.
Similar to our other docking stations, we are conducting rigorous safety and quality testing, which includes 30-mph crash simulations per SAE J1455, military-grade vibration testing, hot/cold operation and storage testing, extensive cycle testing, and compliance with RoHS (Restriction of Use of Hazardous Substances) regulations. This testing helps to ensure reliable docking and functionality in rugged work environments.
Another feature that enhances laptop security is our easy-to-use latch handle and barrel lock, which work together to mount the Latitude Rugged Extreme notebooks and provide convenient one-handed docking and peace-of-mind theft deterrence. The docking station also protects cable connections and prevents accidental disconnects with strain relief and recessed port replication.
You can maximize mobile workforce productivity by providing users with this secure location for computer charging, security and connection to peripherals, such as printers, keyboards and barcode scanners. The dock’s port replication features best-in-class circuitry and allows users to easily connect up to three fully-powered USB 3.0 cables and one USB 2.0 cable.
The DS-DELL-400 Docking Station Series includes the standard docking station, a mount-only version without electronics, and docking station models that feature triple high-gain antenna to improve range and Lind power supply with customized cord length and connector tip.
